I can't tell if this color excites or exhausts me. Pink kept popping up on my radar during fashion week, a most confusing but loved color. Wearing pink is not easy, for anyone. I myself have a definite love/hate relationship with it. If I see a pink toaster in a store I am sure to squeal with delight while pushing down its toast button handle thing, and when in a mall I can't help but wander, eyes glazed over, into the Haribo/ Hello Kitty Store in all its glaring pink glittery glory. I believe pink has been engrained into my soul as a happy color since my Barbie days.
In a fashion context, however, it becomes a little trickier. As a historically feminine color, its hard for men to wear, and being so cheery and youthful, it can send a very slight subconscious message of ditziness, immaturity, or insincerity (I took color theory, homies!) But it seemed tolerable this year, with some bold moves made by designers as far as hue and quantity were concerned. Ye be warned that pink was not a defining trend this fashion week, like the tartans and pumps, just a personal observation. It was, however, paired with orange on more than one instance, which IMHO was nas-tayyy.
Below are a mix of SS14 Fashion Week Runway Photos, celebrities in pink, and pink street style looks that I actually liked.

Jessica Alba, Blake Lively as Serena on Gossip Girl, Eva Longoria

I'm super in love with this pink look on VBecks from Vogue Australia. Love the dusty rose sweater.
And I've been seeing pinks in store too, I was pretty enthralled with this baby pink moto jacket in Savvy at Nordstrom. I don' think I'd sport it, but it was unique.
Below are some street style looks for some pink inspiration of my/your own. These are definitely more wearable. Get inspired!
Perfect pinks in all shades---Love!:)
