Serena on 2nd

A couple weeks ago my ever patient and flexible sister let me dress her up in a super simple Gossip Girl inspired outfit (one of many which we planned to shoot, but rain and other scheduling issues have left me too impatient) we walked around bell town and she threw down with some amazingly van der woodsen- worthy poses. Enjoy!

Clip Clip Hooray

Sweater clips. Cardigan clips. Sweater guards. Whatever you choose to call them. These mid-century accessory staples seem to be one of the most forgotten about little adornments. After perusing Chanel and Nordstrom with a friend last week, I saw an adorable clip with the interlocking C emblem in their jewelry case. I stared at it, couldn't figure out what it was, then it dawned on me today. I spent sometime looking up some clip inspiration for you all. While these can easily look like the most matronly granny accessory ever, there were a few I came across that I loved. The ones with more modern designs like spikes and asymmetry are my favorites. They're abetter alternative to the ridiculous "body jewelry" trend (can you tell I'm not a fan?) thats a lot more wearable and doesn't appear to be trying as hard. I want to get home to my jewelry making supplies and bust one of these out myself!

les femmes du rock

Here's a quick bunch of inspiration for y'all today. Since I dyed my hair blonde again, I've been toying with the idea of being Debbie Harry for Halloween. Between her and Joan Jett, I've been coveting the spandex, leather, graphic t shirts and messed up hair look. Its definitely not the most flattering look on everyone, but these women were so naturally beautiful they pulled it off seamlessly. I don't know about the rest of you, but these photos make me want to put on a wide belt, light up a cigarette and listen to pour some sugar on me.
