We're just on the cusp of summer, I know, but I find myself longing for some fall/winter looks amongst all the short hemlines and bright colors. One of my favorite cold weather styles is fur. A historically controversial aspect of fashion, I know, but nonetheless beautiful. And thank god as fur becomes increasingly popular (I've been seeing furry purses, and am guilty of pondering purchasing one) there are more and more humane/sustainable options that give the same look.

I included a picture of my own fur collection, which includes some real and some faux. While I don't think many people are quite yet open to the idea of sporting an entire fur coat, fur can be included in subtler ways like trims, collars, and small accessories. Not for the faint of style, thats for sure, but when done right, fur can be an incredible addition.
Here's how I decided to incorporate a hint of fur to satisfy my winter yearnings on this lovely mid-june day. I got this foxtail a couple years ago and have been waiting til I felt bold enough to wear it. Between it and the shredded leggings, it adds a little edge my mint old lady sweater and ho-hum cross body.
LL Bean mint knit sweater. Forever 21 Leggings (which I shredded myself with a box cutter).
Anne Michelle Socialite Snake open toe sandal. Thrifted unmarked creme crossbody. Arctic foxtail from ebay
H&M necklace set.
Marc Jacobs watch. Thrifted bracelets.
Thrifted open cuff. Asos gold spike stretch bracelet.
H&M mint sweater. Viktor Viktoria shredded leggings. Dollskill arctic foxtail. Nine West cream crossbody.
Anne Michelle Snake print open toe sandal. Marc Jacobs Amy watch. ASOS spike bracelet. H&M Pyramid necklace set.
More fur inspiration!
