A shifting series of illusions of deceptive appearances as in a dream or created by the imagination- through style
Rihanna's been on fire these past couple months with the her Diamond's world tour, release and RE-stock of her MAC Riri Woo lipstick, and now her collab with River Island! I personally count the bad gal as one of my style icons, so I am all over this stuff. The River Island collection is so hot! She's super on-trend with the 90's vibe. I am patiently waiting for my tube of Riri Woo to arrive, and am in the meantime trying to calculate what I might be able to budget in from the River Island collection. For my internship with April Pride, I wrote up a more detailed little ditty on Riri Woo, which you'll all be able to check out on her blog really soon. I'm really busy with finals and trying to tie up the loose ends on two OTHER posts I'm working on for y'all, so I'll leave this a mostly-pictures-post.
Riri Woo:
Haha, that's me ^
:P

For any fellow Rihanna fans, you'll recognize the emblem on the hat below as the same Isis figure she recently got tatted on her chest!
This collection is so cute, I can't wait for pictures of this stuff to start popping up on the blogs. Lastly, I am a major instacreep when it comes to this girl, so here's some looks she's rocked and 'grammed recently that I love.
Both her top and skirt can be bought from her River Island collection! ^
Love and chicness to everyone this monday!
HOPEFULLY some of you were looking for more posts about my personal style within the blog. I'm super lazy when it comes to taking pictures of better-than-just-instagram quality. I know instagram photos on a blog don't really interest me as a reader. It's important to me to post things that, if I were a reader, would be enjoyable and interesting to read. I've been in a good mood this week, as spring quarter is coming to an end, and I've been working all kinds of things; a photoshoot for my textiles class, my new internship, job interviews, etc. I was looking up all kinds of red lips after falling in love with MAC's Rihanna collab "Riri Woo" (which of course sold out in 2 days). It's coming back in a couple of days, at which point I will book it down to Nordstrom. I got bored waiting for my friend Kayla to get off work, so I decided to put on a red pout myself.
Disclaimer- after lining my lips, I AM aware of how ridiculous they look. But it was a necessary evil for achieving this look.
1)
Nothing on my lips except the foundation I lightly patted on. My lips are naturally really pigmented, this makes the lipstick color truer and more colorfast
2)
The...liner. I use a black eyeliner (Kat Von D from Sephora) which actually blends into a pretty purple. I know it looks gross like this
3)
I applied a bright, candy apple red lipstick within the boundaries of the liner
4)
I blended the black inward into the red using a lip brush
5)
I deepened the color by adding a second coat of red & liner and added a very bright, cherry lipgloss in the center of my lips
Kayla and I hit up good ol' Forever 21 later on and I picked up some fun summery pieces and even indulged in some... shockingly... acid wash. I am not a convert by any means, but I really do like this pair of shorts. Anyways, here's ma newww dudz
And lastly I wanted to share some snippets from my NYLON I got in the mail today. Just images that I liked and want to share
I hope everyone has a fun weekend! I can't wait to do a post showing you guys some of the pictures from tomorrow's photoshoot!
